My Family Loves the Croods!

Billy and I have been long time fans of Ryan Reynold’s, we have been a fan of Emma Stone since Zombieland, and have liked a good many Nicholas Cage movies over the years.

There are quite a few amazing actors and to save time I won’t name them all but you can see the whole movie team on The Croods: Imdb.

It’s hard to explain the style of comedy without spoiling the movie so I’ll just say expect to laugh your fur pelt off.

If you haven’t seen The Croods before I highly recommend watching the 1st movie. It’s on Netflix right now along with the TV series The Dawn of the Croods.

If you don’t have Netflix check out this Croods Ultimate Collection DVD that has both the 1st movie and the TV show. I will say that I like the movie much more and I don’t really watch the TV show.

The kids will get hours of enjoyment out of the show but if you are like me you will only have eyes for the movies. I’m not saying I don’t like the show, I just like the movies way better! I think there is more adult humor in the movies and the TV show is geared more toward kids.

The Croods: A New Age

Knowing how much both the kids and adults in our family loved The Croods we were all really excited when the 2nd Croods movie came out!

The Croods: A New Age is another super clever and very funny movie that I highly recommend. Don’t ask me which movie I like better I would have a really hard time choosing!

The silly factor in these movies really appeals to the kids and the clever jokes really appeal to the adults. This was one movie enough of the family was excited about that us parents organized a movie night / pizza party “for our kids and nieces”.

We had a blast and everyone loved the new movie too! I’ll have to ask if they liked it as much as the 1st movie or better. Like I said I have trouble deciding.

I was really excited because for the 2nd movie they added Leslie Mann and Peter Dinklage to the already super funny cast. If you are interested you can check out the movie team for A New Age here on IMDB.

SPOILER ALERT: Well probably not technically because it doesn’t spoil the story but during the end credits we heard Jack Black singing with his band Tenacious D! It was a fun surprise that everyone enjoyed because we hadn’t realized that they had contributed to the movie.

If you can’t get enough of The Croods I just found out the they have a game The Croods: Prehistoric Party!

I haven’t played it yet so I can’t tell you what I think but if anyone else has played it please leave some thoughts in the comments. I did read that one reviewer said that if your kids can’t read yet they will need to play with an older kid or adult.

If you haven’t checked out The Croods yet I super recommend it because it’s a really fun way to spend time with your family.

My family loves being silly and these movies brought us a lot of joy and some fun little “inside jokes” that only people who have watched the movie will understand.
